Diamond Island Resort provides a view of Diamond Island from its shores, as well as beautiful coastal views. When the tide is low, guests can walk over and explore Diamond Island. Wildlife abounds in the area, as the resort is in the middle of a seabird sanctuary and Diamond Island is a nature preserve. Including in the local wildlife are a group of little penguins that live at the resort. Each evening, the penguins come back to the little penguin rookery. Guests can wander down to the viewing deck and watch these fascinating little guys each night.
The resort is comprised of 26 private apartments. Each apartment is equipped with exquisite linens, full kitchen, and a LCD screen television with satellite. The kitchens even include a bread maker. There are several choices in accommodations, ranging from one room apartments to two room apartments. The one room apartment offers guests one bed, one sofa bed, and an in suite bathroom. Two room apartments are offered with or without a spa tub. Both boast a loft bedroom area with a queen bed in one room and two twin beds in an adjoining room. Downstairs guests will find a bathroom, sofa bed, kitchen, and bathroom. The most elegant choice is the Executive apartment. This luxurious apartment includes a deep tub in the bathroom, with a window giving guests an amazing view of the coast while they soak. This apartment is situated next to the penguin rookery, and the penguin families cross right in front of the two Executive apartments.
For guests looking for some extra pampering, there is a day spa on site. Also on the property is an elegant restaurant offering fresh seafood and locally raised Angus beef.
